Research Centre Julich is one of 15 Helmholtz Research Centres in Germany. A staff of 12200 work on a broad spectrum of research topics. Included in the staff numbers are 1110 Scientists, 1200 PhD students, 150 Undergraduates and 350 trainees, all working in 17 different professions. Role in the project
Provide technical assistance and guidance in, WP-C, development of sub sea digital radiographic system and WP-G, underwater radiographic proving trials.
Reasons for selection by the SMEs
Vast experience in brought to the project in the field of academic research and research methodology. Experience in the fields of advanced X-ray production and detection technology will minimise the overall project risk in the critical Work Package WP-C.
